Cabinetmaker / Architectural Millworker Position

Pay Range: $30-$40 per hour

Seat Summary
The Millwork Team is small group of highly skilled and detail oriented cabinetmakers and architectural millworkers. The team is responsible for the planning and building of high-end woodwork, millwork and cabinetry components to Adams and Beasley’s standards of detail, exceptional quality and craftsmanship. Millworkers work with the Lead Millworker in the planning and execution of projects. Experience with reading architectural plans and shop drawings, planning a project, setting up and running woodworking machinery, millwork assembly and fine detail work are all necessary skills for this position. Millworkers may also be called upon to deliver or aid in the installation of projects.
Accountability
Execution of cabinet and millwork projects efficiently and accurately.
Plan and execute cabinetry and millwork projects based on provided shop drawings.
Ability to work as an integral part of a small team as well as independently.
Meet with Lead Millworker to coordinate planning and execution of projects.
Be aware of what tasks are coming next and ensure access to the necessary tools and stock.
Creates personal task lists of items to-do and completed
Communicate clearly with team members
Develop cut lists and material take offs
Dimensioning and machining of hardwoods and sheet materials
Joinery and assembly of cabinets and millwork
Keep work station and shop clean and debris-free
Wears personal protective gear, such as but not limited to, safety glasses and ear protection at all times on the job
Install millwork as needed including cabinets, trim, and custom millwork
Positively represents the company through all interactions; with co-workers, vendors and subcontractors
Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
7 - 10 years building and installing cabinetry and architectural millwork
A solid understanding of wood, woodworking techniques and the fabrication of high end residential cabinetry and architectural millwork
Experience and proficiency with basic hand and power tools as well as shop machinery including joiner, planer, bandsaw, panel saw, table saw, edgebander, shaper and wide belt sander is necessary. Ability to read architectural plan sets and shop drawings.
A valid driver’s license

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
