Pay Range: $35.00-$50.00

Seat Summary
Participates in the work of the painting trade. Is engaged in preparing surfaces, selecting painting materials, and performing prep, brush, roller, and spray painting work for the maintenance and decoration of buildings, equipment, facilities, and/or the refinishing of furniture or cabinetry.every aspect of production.
Accountability
Scrapes, sands, fills, and otherwise prepares surfaces
Performs complex painting work using proper tools
Total compliance in the use of PPE equipment.
Erects, moves, and works from scaffolds, step ladders and extension ladders
Mixes colors in oil or vinyl based paints and other paint finishes to match, blend, harmonize, and contrast in specified colors and consistencies.
Uses brushes, rollers, and spray guns to apply the required number of coats of paints, enamels, varnishes, lacquers, or other protective or decorative materials on a wide variety of surfaces such as wood, metal, glass, plaster, brick, stucco, cement, and wallboard.
Cleans, adjusts, maintains, and makes minor repairs on painting hand and power tools and equipment to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
Safely operates hand and power tools and equipment used in the painting trade.
Have a comprehensive understanding of the project, advising and implementing.
Learn characteristics of new materials and equipment of the painting trade and update skills to adapt to changing technology efficiency at all times, and represent the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, the building project.
Basic methods and procedures used in planning and estimating job projects.
Basic principles of recordkeeping.
Provide technical assistance to others.
Maintain safety and cleanliness of client’s belongings by providing surface protection and dust barriers whenever necessary.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Education + Experience: 5+ years of experience with strong knowledge of construction principles and practices required
Graduation from high school or its equivalent
Working Environment & Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
